Step One
Share your ideas
Let’s get together and imagine! The first step in the custom home building process is to hear your ideas, understand your budget, map out a timeline, and get to know one another. We want to see your idea boards, your floorplans, and any magazine clippings you’ve been saving since you were a teenager! Your dream home can only come to life if you have a solid foundation upon which to build. So, let’s take this opportunity to answer questions and hammer out (pun intended) your broader vision.
Step Two
Dreams = design
During this phase of the pre-construction design, we will translate your dreams into a realistic construction budget. Using 3D renderings and blueprints, we estimate all costs associated with building your dream home from necessary permits to kitchen cabinet finishes. From there, we build in allowances and cushions for any non-standard options that could pop up along the way. Our goal? An approved construction agreement with your signature on it.
Step Three
Construction begins
Now it’s time to pull the trigger and get to work! Building with Wood Construction means friendly, responsive project management. Because we work hand-in-glove (again with the puns) with our homeowners there is never any guesswork during the custom home building process. You will know our weekly, monthly, (and sometimes daily) schedules. We will provide updated concise progress reports and our cell phone numbers will be at the top of your recent call lists. Every aspect of the building process will be properly monitored and reported.
Step Four
The finish line
Approaching the end of any finished custom home is an exciting time to be sure, but it also signals an opportunity to orient you with your home’s new features. In this stage of construction, we will walk through your new home to ensure all aspects meet your satisfaction. Also, we will test appliances, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. We will also discuss all warranty details with you regarding those systems and answer any questions you may have.
Step Five
get cozy and settle in
Enjoy your beautiful new dream home! Welcoming families into their new spaces never gets old and we are constantly reminded how fortunate we are to be able to work with such amazing clients.
